Introduction to Advances in Technology

We all use tools to make our lives more efficient and accessible. Technology plays a huge part in opening up a world for people of all abilities. This blog will address the levels of technology used with the ASD population in an attempt to provide you with opportunities to learn what assistive technology is available to match the needs of individuals with ASD. Whether its to assist with education, communication, social networking, planning, or web browsing, technology can afford opportunities that are in line with the specific learning style of the population with ASD.

    I am very much looking forward to learning more through your blog. As you know, an AT course was offered at the same time as this one. I really was torn, as I wanted to take both! I definitely feel that I lack knowledge in the AT department, but have excellent AT consultants that I work with who help along the way!

    I was in exactly the same quandary as Ann.I wanted to take the AT course but just couldn't manage it right now. There seems to be such a vast array of new technology out there that can help our kids. I am looking forward to following your blog Kevin.
